What a great day the team at Interact had taking part in Be Richmond’s ‘Get on Board 2023’ event. 

Our team took to the water in the fight against plastic pollution, whilst also helping to clean up the surrounding area.

At Interact, community is at our heart and since 2018 our team have been working with Richmond Business Improvement District to highlight the problem of single use plastic, to clear existing plastic waste from the river and its surrounds, and to prevent future plastic pollution.

Only together can we make a difference in the fight against plastic pollution in our waterways.

About Be Richmond

Be Richmond is the Business Improvement District (BID) for Richmond town centre. Its purpose is to represent and support Richmond BID levy payers, and to promote Richmond town centre as a great place to live, work and explore. Interact’s team in Richmond works closely with Richmond BID and our team regularly partakes in events and activities to improve the local area.

About the Get On Board Event

Be Richmond’s ‘Get on Board 2023’ event is aimed at raising awareness about plastic pollution in our waterways and brings the Richmond community together for a day of fun and environmental action. This year’s event saw hundreds of people, including Interact’s team, set off from Kew Bridge, W4 3NG, and finish at River Lane, Petersham, Richmond where teams helped to clear up both the waterway and surrounding areas whilst raising awareness of the environmental issues.
